Microwaves have come a long way since the 80’s when they first became popular, being able to heat food products in a relatively short amount of time, was revolutionary before the 80’s when the oven was probably the easiest way of heating up food and forms of liquid. However the stainless steel microwaves you see now have evolved. I saw a cheap microwave the other day and it had everything you could ask for. It was a pretty cheap price and was definitely worth the asking price for it. I believe it is important to think about how microwaves may change in the future. Stainless steel microwaves the future may have varied ways of working, and it may be able to slowly heat up and then cool down afterwards like a real oven cooker.
I am not really sure what use this may be to people but I’m sure they would market the microwave to people as being revolutionary. Think back to the 80’s when microwaves were new and they could only be used at one heat. I’m sure many of them could only work for up to 10 minutes, now people defrost food in their microwaves for 25 minutes plus. This may seem like the norm now but this was new technology back then when microwaves were first invented. Microwaves now are definitely seen as a commodity, and it really is a shame because a technology that was once so appreciated has now become a commodity which people don’t consider. It has become something that people take for granted, when many people rely on them so much.
In the future I think microwaves will be able to do more things. I think that they’ll create microwaves that will open the packing for you and be able to prepare the food for you. You may laugh at me but I’m being serious, the nation is wanting robots to do more and more for them. The microwave will be able to do these things in many years to come. I Also believe that they will there will be universal bar codes on the food, and the microwaves will be able to read this, knowing how the food is to be prepared, even suggested in condiments that may compliment or go well with the food. This is the future of microwaves people whether you like it or not. I’m sure many of you will say you will use the older ones if this happens, but do you see many people using the microwaves from the 80’s? Nope, didn’t think so.
